The Lionesses are taking e centre stage at this years 2019 FIFAWorld Cup in franc and are looking to capitalise on their recent successes with a tournament win. Under Phil Neville's management our international ladies side finished 2nd at the SheBelieves cup in 2018 which was the highest our nation had finished in this cup, until they did one better this following year in 2019 when the team went on to win the tournament. England first entered the UEFA Women's Championship in 1984, reaching the final that year and in 2009 but ultimately narrowly losing out on being the victors. The team have reached the semi-finals on three other occasions (1989, 1995, 2017). England ladies have qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup four times (1995, 2007, 2011, 2015) during which the ladies have reached the quarter final stages on three occasions but more recently earning a bronze medal at the 2015 tournament.
England women will wear a specially designed kit for this summer's World Cup - the first time they have had one different to the men's team. The home kit is classic using the traditional white with red cuffs, while the socks include hand-drawn prints representing the floral symbol of English counties. Each one is made from 12 recycled plastic bottles, which has been the case with Nike football kits since 2010. This shirt is the same as the one worn by the players on the pitch and it features Nike VaporKnit technology for exceptional breathability and lightweight mobility.
